Anticipating and planning for a trip can be nearly as fun as the trip itself. Packing is the final and step in the trip prep process. Packing makes me excited, because it means it’s finally time to go. Each time I experience a travel mishap, I think about how I can better prepare for my next trip. I have learned some of the mishaps can be avoided by making change in the way I pack.
When I traveled abroad alone for the first time it was by necessity and not by choice. Once I realized my travel companion wasn't going to be able to join me, I was terrified. I knew for sure I was going to get taken and unfortunately my father lacks Liam Neeson's particular set of skills. I also thought traveling alone would be lonely.
